Update: In March 2013, Autodata Products and I Am Information Technology (I Am IT) split into separate, independent companies. In October 2014, I Am Information Technology Limited was placed in administration. Founded in 1985 as Autodata Products, this London firm has gained a new lease of life since Leo Smuga and Dominic McLoughlin bought out the then-owners in 2007, including re-branding as I am IT in July 2012. Most of the firm’s sales comes from providing consultancy services and maintaining IT networks for customers including the BBC, The Science Museum and Fremantle Media, although it is also a reseller. Higher demand for data storage and management from media companies, alongside the company’s focus on its customers’ values an cultures, helped boost sales 47% a year, from £3.5m in 2008 to £11m in 2011.
