Finding the right skills quickly when mobilising a team for disaster relief saves lives. Oxfam pays a monthly rental charge for I-Grasp’s web-based recruitment software to keep track of qualified individuals. Other customers include British Airways and Cadbury. Andy Randall and Damian Nolan and four friends set up I-Grasp in 2000 using £100,000 of their own funds. A seven-fold increase in customers to 140 has pushed up sales 63% a year from £1.1m in 2002 to £3m in 2004. I-Grasp was recently acquired by the Norwegian online recruitment specialist Step Stone in a deal reported to be worth £12m.
