Neil Kipling set up ID Business Solutions in 1989 as a consultancy firm for research-and-development (R&D) companies and noticed a need for more robust software for storing, sharing and integrating data. Now the Guildford company says it is a leading software provider to the pharmaceutical industry, with clients including Roche, Pfizer and Glaxo Smith Kline. The business is now looking to expand into the Asia-Pacific market. Its profits have risen 81% a year from £807,000 in 2005 to £4.8m in 2008.
