Neil Kipling set up ID Business Solutions in 1989 as a consultancy firm for research-and-development (R&D) companies and noticed a need for more robust software for storing, sharing and integrating data. The business is now looking to expand into the Asia-Pacific market. Its profits have risen 81% a year from £807,000 in 2005 to £4.8m in 2008.
