Immediate Media was founded when private equity house Exponent merged media business Magicalia with Origin Publishing and a portfolio of BBC magazine titles bought for £121m in 2011. The London firm says it has 36 websites, 58 magazines and more than 70 brands reaching 25m people a month. It has more than 1m subscribers and its titles include the Radio Times and BBC’s Gardeners’ World. Tom Bureau, 45, became chief executive after the merger, and raised profits to £13.8m in 2013.
