This Manchester company provides finance for home improvements, and has been helping homeowners claim the government’s Green Homes Grant since the scheme was launched in September. Improveasy also helps the Big Six energy suppliers comply with legal obligations to help lower-income customers improve the carbon efficiency of their homes. It identifies eligible customers and manages a nationwide network of installers who insulate homes and improve their heating systems. Sales grew to £13.8m in the year to March under managing director Austin Barcley, 47. It first used the furlough scheme, but had brought back most staff by September and has hired a further five.
