If the water and soil on the 2012 Olympic site are safe, it may be partly due to work by Inspicio, a global testing and inspection firm headquartered in central London. Set up and listed on AIM just three years ago, the company employs more than 6,500 people in almost 130 countries. Led by chief executive Mark Silver, acquisitions helped to push sales to £218.1m in 2007. Inspicio was taken private in a reported £230m deal backed by private equity firm 3i earlier this year.
