David Griffiths and Mark Christie set up this technology company as Infocom in 1995 to develop software and provide support for large companies such as Diageo and EMI. It recently changed its name to ioko365 and developed Barbox, Britain’s largest online trading portal for pubs, restaurants and hotels, which claims to have the biggest online sales in Britain after Tesco.com. Such projects have helped to boost sales 70% a year from £2m in 1998 to £10.1m in 2001, when ioko365 had 143 staff.
