Ip.Access

Unreliable network coverage frustrates network operators, which lose call revenue. Ip.Access designs and manufactures base stations that customers such as T-Mobile and Telefonica O2 configure in order to improve signal range and quality. The Cambridgeshire company was spun out of The Technology Partnership and is now led by Stephen Mallinson. It has raised £13m from investors, including £5m from Amadeus Capital Partners, Scottish Equity Partners and Rothschild Gestion this year. Sales rose 82% a year from £3.9m in 2005 to £12.9m in 2007, when it made a significant loss.
