Iris has secured customers such as Sony Ericsson, Shell, Puma and T-Mobile despite being founded only in 1999. The London company invented and trademarked Cuffguide, a wristband that unfolds into a map and is used at theme parks and festivals such as Glastonbury. The company says it also redeveloped Manchester United’s membership scheme so that the brand could be promoted all over the world. Its sales have grown by more than 70% a year from an annualised £1.6m in 1999 to £7.8m in 2002.
