Grand prix racing engineers are among the 3,000 workers at McLaren’s technology hub in Woking that depend on IT Lab for 24-hour support, after a deal struck in February. The company also sells cloud-based software and provides consultancy services, from its offices in London, Manchester, Woking and Cape Town in South Africa. Chief executive Peter Sweetbaum, 48, saw sales increase to £31.1m in the year to March, and in June he led a management buyout from tech conglomerate The Big Ideas Group, backed by ECI Partners.
