In 1896, Josiah Oliver Sims founded this firm as a fruit trader in London’s Pudding Lane. The company, now based in Lincolnshire and run by Josiah’s great grandson, Christopher Sims, 57, supplies fruit from its own farms in the US and other countries. A good cherry-growing season and exports to Germany, Holland, India and Hong Kong helped international sales rise to £11.8m in 2014
