In 2008, the cookery show chef and restaurateur Jamie Oliver, 37, brought his love of Italian food to the high street with a chain of restaurants aptly named Jamie’s Italian. The company now has 30 sites in the UK and 5 abroad, including ones in Dublin, Dubai and Sydney. The chain bills itself as an affordable, family-friendly operation that makes its own pasta every morning and sources ingredients both locally and from Italy. This year it launched a deli concept at its Bath store after customers wanted to buy its olives, mozzarella and antipasti boards.
