Originally formed in 1930 but set up as a limited company in 1972 by chairman Graham Jasper, this family-run Cornish abattoir slaughters sheep and cows from West Country farmers. It then distributes the lamb and beef to local butchers and national supermarkets. Although most of its sales are domestic, the company also exports to mainland Europe, and international sales increased 48% a year from £2.4m in 2009 to £5.2m in 2011.
