Jennings was set up in 1903 as a bicycle repair shop but switched to selling cars in 1917, becoming one of north England’s first Ford dealers. While Ford remains its biggest-selling marque, with 58% of the company’s £145.9m sales in 2013, the firm now also has Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Seat dealerships. It is led by managing director Nas Khan, 54.
