John Jeyes patented a disinfectant fluid in 1877 that is still marketed today as Jeyes Fluid. The disinfectant heads a product roster that includes Bloo toilet products, Easy detergents, Quickies wipes and Parozone bleach. The firm also makes a range of products for commercial use. Legal & General Ventures took the business private in a £91m deal in 2002 and the company made its first acquisition in 2008. Sales increased by 26% to an annualised £207.2m in 2009.
