JM Group

JM Group is named after John Martin, who still chairs the company he set up 40 years ago. This Edinburgh firm claims to be Scotland’s second-largest multi-franchise motor group, trading under the names Belmont, Dunedin Motor Company and Murray Motor Company. It holds 15 franchises, from Volvo and Mazda to Aston Martin and Lotus, and sold 17,000 cars in 2004 from 24 sites across Scotland, notching up sales of £252m in the year to March 2005.
