Joseph Heler has been producing cheese for more than 60 years and today makes 40 varieties at its Cheshire site, hiring staff during the pandemic. As well as traditional products such as Wensleydale and Cheshire, it serves the European and UK ingredient market for ready meals, pizzas and sauces. Its high-protein Eatlean brand has a Spanish website, helping boost exports to £9.1 million in 2019 under chairman Mike Heler, 63, and his son George, 33, managing director.
