Since Tom Joule bought the firm from his father in 1994, he has branched out into bathroom, kitchen and general homeware products, contributing to sales growth of 54% a year, from £14.1m in 2007 to £51.2m in 2010. Joules now has 59 stores in the UK and a network of distributors in mainland Europe and the US. It also sells through various retailers, including John Lewis, Harrods and Boots.
