This firm calls itself an estate agent “with a difference” – for instance, it offers packages to sellers that avoid the need for solicitors. The Leeds company was founded by Jason Butler at the age of 24 and still has plenty of spring in its step. With 30 branches throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, it has plans to open up to 90 over the next five years. In 2002 it raised £1.5m to fund expansion, the money coming from the venture capitalist BP Marsh & Partners in return for 22.5% of equity. The firm reported sales of £146.7m in 2004.
