This London company claims it has helped to raise £500m for good causes. Its website, Justgiving.com, enables charities and individuals to raise money online. It is the official fundraising site for Race for Life and says it helped London Marathon runners raise almost £25m this year. The website is the brainchild of former City lawyer Zarine Kharas and is funded by private investors. It generates revenue by collecting commission on Gift Aid reclaimed from the government. Sales have risen 68% a year from £1.9m in 2005 to £9.2m in 2008.
