This Aberdeen company is anticipating significant financial fallout from the coronavirus crisis and the slump in oil prices earlier this year. KCA Deutag operates about 110 drilling rigs in 20 countries and has projects worth $5.7bn (£4.5bn) in the pipeline. In 2018, it bought the Omani and Saudi Arabian businesses of Dalma Energy for £490m, and last year it secured land drilling contracts worth more than £500m in Oman, Nigeria, Russia and the Netherlands. The group is owned by a consortium of investors and is led by chief executive Joseph Elkhoury, 50.
