Kinapse has provided advisory and operational services to the life sciences sector since it was started in 2005 by former Accenture consultants Andy Black, 48, and Nick Edwards, 54. It works with nine of the world’s top ten pharmaceutical companies, including Glaxo Smith Kline, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Pfizer and Bayer. The London firm generated three-quarters of its £20.8m sales this year from overseas markets and has offices in India and America, as well as in Britain. Synova Capital invested an undisclosed sum in 2012, becoming the largest shareholder.
