People sign up to King.com to play online games, including television spin-offs such as Deal or No Deal. The London company operates in ten languages and six currencies, and claims to host 350m games a month. The website takes a 25% commission on its pay-to-enter games, but most of its users play for free. This year it will launch games for new platforms, including the Apple iPhone and Facebook. The firm was co-founded by chief executive Riccardo Zacconi in 2003, and its sales have grown 59% a year from £7.4m in 2005 to £29.9m in 2008.
