Klarius makes more than 100,000 different car parts, ranging from shock absorbers to catalytic converters. Tony Wilson formed the group in 2007 when his company, Klarius UK, acquired the European operations of Quinton Hazell. About 70% of sales are generated abroad, mainly in continental Europe, where Klarius also has factories and research and development facilities as well as warehousing and distribution hubs. Still chairman and majority shareholder, Wilson has seen Klarius’s international sales grow 58% a year, from an annualised £50m in 2008 to £125.5m in 2010.
