The Belfast company develops software that allows customer-service staff to have all the information about callers at their fingertips. The program also keeps records of all communication by phone, fax, letter or e-mail, and allows for data protection and freedom-of-information rights. Lagan says that it is working with 33 local councils. Sales have grown 98% a year from £479,000 in 2000 to £1.9m in 2002, when the company made a loss and attracted a private-equity investment of £1m.
