The Ipswich engineering firm Lamva specialises in building high-voltage electrical networks for electricity suppliers, but it also tackles smaller projects such as repairing faulty street lights. Its customers include EDF Energy, BT and Centrica, and Lamva is currently building infrastructure to connect a Lincolnshire wind farm to the regional electricity network. Managing director Andy Catchpole and commercial director Wayne Hayes joined in 2001, when the business was struggling, and together they have helped to boost sales 129% a year from £595,000 in 2000 to £7.1m in 2003.
