More hotel affiliates, delivering better rates and a bigger stock of rooms, have helped to boost sales at Late Rooms, the discounted accommodation website. The Manchester company, founded by chief executive Chris Allen, says its site features more than 500,000 cut-price hotel beds – from B&Bs to five-star palaces – which can be booked online at savings of up to 75% on published prices. Allen staged a £21m buyout of his co-founders with backing from ECI Ventures in 2004. Sales have risen 76% a year from £2.3m in 2003 to £7.1m in 2005.
