Starting out in the 1980s selling coal to homes in Northern Ireland, LCC has since diversified into oil and gas, and operates 35 Go petrol stations as well as Go Power, an electricity supplier. Last year, the Co Tyrone firm bought an oil terminal near Belfast and plans to invest £20m so it can accommodate 120,000-ton oil tankers. Owned and run by Michael Loughran, 68, and his family, the company saw sales rise to £991m in 2018 after securing more commercial customers.
