The business-services company Liberata is benefiting from the trend of companies outsourcing accounting, finance, customer relationship management and human resources to specialist providers. The business was formed in 2002 from a management buyout of Deloitte & Touche’s outsourcing arm. It posted sales of £217.5m in 2004, when it made a profit of £14m before exceptional items and goodwill. Liberata is led by Tom Butler and it serves financial-services and public-sector clients from 27 business centres nationwide.
