In the 1960s, the father of managing director Dale Robinson, 49, invented the original portable trackway for the National Grid. Today the company supplies its aluminium track panels for events including Wimbledon and the Leeds and Reading festivals. It recently provided the Irish National Ploughing Championships with 24km of roadway. Founded by Carl Springthorpe, 58, the Worksop business saw sales reach £15.4m this year, helped by demand from renewable energy companies. It also has offices in Ireland, France and Germany.
