Husband-and-wife team, Piers Buck, 44, and Taslim Ho, 34, started Little Freddie when they discovered the food on offer to their baby son – Freddie – at the time fell short of what they wished for. He was a fussy foodie and served as the chief tasting officer for its organic baby food. The London-based company sells through Ocado, Boots and Amazon, as well as through major retailers in China and Hong Kong. Proud of its ingredient list, it says that it was the first baby food to use products such as Pink Lady apples, grass-fed beef and Parmigiano-Reggiano. Sales hit £17.3m last year, and are forecast to reach £38m by the end of this year.
