Holidays are big business for Lotus, the London holding company for a group of travel firms. The largest, Dial-A-Flight, sells 650,000 flights a year as well as holidays, hotel bookings and car hire to independent travellers. Another business, Supertravel offers tailor-made holidays, mainly skiing and golf packages. The firm also runs Lotus Conferences and offers companies travel incentive packages for staff. Founder Peter Stephens heads Lotus and owns 75% of the company, while the rest is held by fellow director Christine Burrowes. Sales reached £259.8m in 2007.
