This Liverpool company designs and manufactures high-speed rigid inflatable boats used by soldiers, police and rescue services around the world. Founded in 2002 by Benjamin Kerfoot, 43, Philip Hilbert, 39, and Andrew Phillips, 46, it makes bespoke hi-tech craft, some of which can travel under water for covert operations. It also develops ballistic protection systems. The Dutch ministry of defence is a large client and the company recently won part of a £110m, five-year contract to support and service 1,450 boats used by the British armed Forces. Turnover reached £14.4m in 2013.
