When investment banks want to issue bonds they can turn to Marketpipe, whose web-based software and services support the underwriting process and distribute bonds to investors and banks. Chairman Jonathan Gittos, who founded the London company in 2000 after spending 12 years in the City, says Marketpipe has 21 large investment banks as clients including Goldman Sachs. Its sales have grown 48% a year from £1.6m in 2003 to £3.4m in 2005.
