Founded in Cambridge with one car and a lock-up in 1909, Marshall is now engaged in a range of activities, from car sales to aerospace engineering. It is based at Cambridge airport, which it owns and from which daily flights to the Continent will start in September. Last year, Robert Marshall, 50, succeeded his father Sir Michael Marshall, 81, as group chief executive and became the fourth generation to lead the company.
