Robert Marshall, 52, is the fourth generation of the Marshall family to run this business, which operates in a range of sectors including aerospace and property. His father, Sir Michael Marshall, 83, is chairman. It is based at Cambridge airport, which it owns, and is planning to build an “urban village” of 1,300 homes on land near the airport. In April, Marshall floated its car division on AIM, raising £40m. The family now owns 66% of the motor business, which accounted for 77% of group sales in 2014.
