Keeping tabs on deliveries, jobs and drivers can be a challenge for fleet operators. Masternaut’s little black boxes sit inside more than 30,000 vehicles and feed information on location, speed and route to a system that clients can view online. Customers such as United Biscuits and Unipart use this Leeds software developer’s technology. Managing director Martin Port and commercial director Simon Bellamy acquired the British licence for Masternaut from its French owner in 2002, and bought systems-provider GE Mobile Solutions last year. Sales have grown 72% a year from £2.9m in 2004 to £8.6m in 2006.
