Tech Track 100

This Glasgow firm designs software for engineers. Its products help groups such as BHP Petroleum and Bayer to manage the vast number of documents needed in big construction projects. Part of McLaren’s sales growth of 58% a year, from £3.8m in 1999 to £9.5m in 2001, came from last year’s acquisition of Empace, a Scottish software developer. The firm made a big loss last year.
