Founded in 1999 by brewer Alistair Hook, 51, and now run by chief executive Nick Miller, 49, Meantime Brewing Company brews 175,000 hectolitres of craft beer a year. From its base in Greenwich, it produced over 40 different varieties last year and says it is the country’s largest craft brewer by volume. Selling its London Pale Ale, Chocolate Porter and Pilsner beers into bars and pubs and through supermarkets such as Waitrose, sales reached £11.5m in 2013.
