With a team of scientists, mathematicians and engineers, Media Ingenuity (now renamed TotallyMoney) claims to connect thousands of customers each day to providers of financial and insurance products. Some of this is achieved through online display advertising: the company calculates that it placed 2.3 billion ads in the second half of 2010. It also runs Totallymoney.com, a consumer comparison website. Founders Will Becker and Jonathan Hassid, together with managing director Adam Quint, grew sales 45% a year from £3.6m in 2007 to £11m in 2010. In March this year Scottish Equity Partners led a £17.5m funding round to take a minority stake in the company.
