Since being founded in 1980, Medina Dairy has grown to become one of Britain’s largest independent dairies. Its main facility is on a 157-acre site in Hampshire, capable of producing 250m litres of milk a year. The company has a second production site in Yorkshire, and a nationwide network of 19 distribution depots through which it delivers dairy products, bread and eggs. Owned and run by Sheazad Hussain and Mohammed Azam, the company raised its sales figures to £154m in 2008.
