More of this company’s unusual gift stores for men, which offer must-have products ranging from Star Trek Captain Kirk dressing gowns to self-stirring tea mugs, have been popping up in the past year, with 26 branches now open and the latest due to launch in Stratford, east London. Topping its chart of boys’ toys last Christmas were a gyro-flyer helicopter and Dave the remotely controlled monkey. This year, new products, such as a pinball table, are expected to pull in sales during the festive season. Led by co-founder Paul Kraftman, the Surrey-based company has been busy strengthening its online presence, which has resulted in sales increasing by 51% a year, from £5.3m in 2008 to £18.2m in 2011.
