Top Track 100

This company delivers more than 7m newspapers and magazines each morning to newsagents and retailers from its 56 depots in the UK and Ireland. The Paisley-headquartered business became independent last year when its parent, John Menzies, sold it to Endless private equity for £74.5m. Sales were a little more than £1bn in 2017 under managing director Greg Michael, 51, but margins are low, and the distributor secured a new £25m loan in February to fund a move into other logistics sectors and offset the downturn in print media.

This profile reflects the company at time of publication and does not reflect any changes that may have subsequently occurred. Fast Track and its sponsors do not endorse, guarantee or recommend investment in any of the companies.
