The first successful application is a product for the treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding, used by 180 British hospitals. Allan MacDonald, chief executive, led the firm out of administration in 2002, since when he has raised more than £43m, including £14m from 3i. A tripling in revenue from NHS orders has helped sales grow 62% a year from £1.4m_x000D_
in 2002 to £3.7m in 2004, when Microsulis made a substantial loss.
