Established in 1887, this family firm manufactures high quality lubricants for the automotive, commercial vehicle and industrial sectors. In 2009 the West Yorkshire company was the first to produce nanotechnology gear oil, a lubricant used in motorsport that significantly reduces friction, lowers running temperature, lessens wear and tear and reduces the need for pit stops. Under joint managing directors Stephen Woollven and Nevil Hall, international sales grew 42% a year from £1.1m in 2009 to £2.2m in 2011, boosted by a strong overseas distributor network.
