Founder Marisa Hordern, 39, jokes that it takes 10 years to become an overnight success. Her childhood passion for gemstones inspired her to set up this London firm in 2008 but its explosive growth has mostly taken place in the past three years, thanks in part to its products being worn by the Duchess of Sussex and the actress Margot Robbie. It uses social media to market its rings, earrings and necklaces, and attributes almost three-quarters of sales to Instagram publicity. The range is stocked by Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, as well as sold online by Nordstrom in America. Sales rose to £6m in the year to March; roughly half came from overseas.
