This firm had a key role in Sir James Dyson’s project to provide extra ventilators for coronavirus patients, producing parts at short notice, although the ventilators were ultimately not needed. It specialises in making parts for the oil and gas industry at its 36,000 sq ft factory in Coventry. Managing director Luke Benton, 37, and commercial director Elliot Benton, 35, run the company their grandfather founded in a garage in 1980. In 2019, it set up a new automotive engineering subsidiary called i8 after purchasing the assets of bankrupt firm Integr8. Sales reached £19.8m in the year to February.
