The group has developed several cost-comparison websites that together claim to attract 70,000 users a day. Its main site,, compares rates and offers for personal finance, enabling consumers to find the best deal. In the last year, the company has also launched sites for comparing travel and insurance deals. Moneysupermarket also has a mortgage search system, which it says is used by more than 7,000 independent financial advisers. Sales, which are generated on a “pay per click” basis, rose 149% a year from £6.2m in 2001 to £38.1m in 2003. The company is considering a float on the stock market next year.
