Moo chief executive Richard Moross started this business in 2004 to sell high-quality customer-designed business cards online, pitched at design-conscious professionals. The business has since branched out into postcards, greetings cards and other accessories, and gained £2.75m investment from Index Ventures and Atlas Ventures in April 2006. Sales have grown as London-headquartered Moo has focused on core products and opened a US office and print works, which has helped it sell in more than 200 countries. Sales grew 68% a year, from £2.7m in 2008 to £12.8m in 2011.
