Leo Caplan, managing director, founded Morgan Brookes in 1999 using money from the sale of his Porsche. The company has acquired two rivals – Boss Office Equipment in December 2003 and Copier Products in May. Sales have grown 73% a year from an annualised £835,000 in 2000 to £4.3m in 2003.
